FAQ
Question
What is MOCT?
A museum. Not a gallery, not a platform, not an Instagram. A place where works are collected, not just seen.
Question
Why tattoo?
Because tattoo is the only artform that disappears with the body. MOCT is the first archive.
Question
Why video and not photo?
Tattoo lives in motion. We excluded the static image from the beginning.
Question
Why 15 seconds?
A moment, not a tutorial. 15 seconds become a work. 15 minutes remain a video.
Question
Why NFT?
Anyone can screenshot. No one can falsify ownership on the blockchain.
Question
What videos can enter the collection?
Any real moment. Old or new — a video from 2003 has more history than one from yesterday. Age is not a limitation. It's a value.
Question
Why do only sold works appear?
A work enters the museum when a collector validates it. Not before.
Question
What appears on the website?
Active auctions. The last 6 closed. And every work ever sold — in Collected. That's it.
Question
Who collects?
Anyone. MOCT does not select collectors — the market does.
Question
Why does a video from 2009 matter?
A video from 1999, from 2009, from 2019 — each is a different world. Tattoo goes out of style as fast as cinema. And that's exactly why it becomes history.
Question
Why is it open to any artist?
Because the history of tattooing is not written by us. It's written by you.
Question
What happens in 20 years?
We do not know what the body, modification, or tattoos will mean. We are building this together.
