The Museum of Contemporary Tattoos app is your gateway to vaults — immersive, personal AR spaces created by artists. Each vault surrounds the viewer in a living archive of tattoo-related visuals, ideas, and moods. This is not a gallery. It is the gallery.
What is a Vault?
A vault is more than a collection. It's a room you can enter. Built around the viewer using augmented reality, each vault becomes a personal exhibition — evolving, intimate, and alive. You don’t scroll through a vault. You walk into it. You stand among tattoos, stencils, photos, textures, and AI-generated matter that grows from the artist's work.
Current File Support
- 📷 Images – JPG, PNG, SVG (core visual medium)
- 🧠 NFTs – Any image-based NFTs minted on Polygon
- 🧊 3D Models – GLB/GLTF support (coming soon)
- 📹 Short video clips – Limited MP4 support (in testing)
Artists are free to shape their vaults however they want. The file types are fixed — the meaning is not.
AI Inside the Vault
Each vault contains a built-in AI — a curator, a guide, a possible collaborator. It can help explain the work, organize the space, or even generate new forms based on the artist’s archive.
